A Classic Wedding DayOn September 7, 2019, Angelina Robertson and Cole Wolfe gathered before their friends and family on a bright sunny day to profess their love for one another, and dance the night away together at The Glea at Harper Farms. Angelina is one of those people who you instantly fall in love with from the moment you meet her. The first time I met Angelina was at our Pre-Coordination meeting about a month leading up to her wedding. Previously though, we had kept in constant communication for a few months finalizing the details of her big day. Though we might have started as strangers, she is absolutely now a friend. Angelina was the first MG Bride to get to take advantage of the Advanced Coordination package which meant she had 2 day-of Coordinators. MG Wedding Coordination Associate, Natalie and I worked to perfect every detail to make Angelina's dream day a reality. Angelina and her Bride Tribe started the day prepping by pampering. The Florist arrived and began placing the gorgeous settings and gathering the stunning bouquets while the wedding party and family worked to soak in every moment of this special day. As the day progressed and photography was in full swing, Natalie and I tag-teamed keeping tabs on the Bride and the Groom and making sure their paths didn't cross until it was time to do so. In addition to the photography schedule, another component of the Coordination Journal is the section for DJ Notes. The soundtrack for a wedding is something that everyone knows they need, but often forget to extensively create. Not only do your DJ Notes need to have the song you plan to walk down the aisle to and your first dance, but also what you're going to cut the cake to and toss the garter. That means not only does MG Wedding Coordination make sure everything goes well with the DJ's soundcheck, but also ensures the song list is on point and a radio is shared so that we can cue those entrances on the beat that makes every moment that much more grand -- which is exactly how we started the ceremony for Angelina and Cole. One of the best parts of this Big Day is how the love the Bride and Groom shared radiated from them. Their reception boasted a wonderful comfort food buffet and following dinner the Bride and Groom toasted to the beginning of the next chapter in their love story following cutting the cake. While Natalie worked on dispensing cake alongside the venue owner, the reception area bustled with laughter and conversation. Cole whirled Angelina around the dance floor for their first dance that was nothing short of magical, and the wedding party cheered the two on throughout the night's festivities. The dance floor was radiating and the guests so much fun, before the time came for tossing of the bouquet and throwing of the garter. As the night carried on, a sparkling exit was made by the new Mr. and Mrs. Wolfe while their closest friends and family lit the way for the beginning of their life as one. A Union of Vintage EleganceCathryn Ellis and Logan Reynolds were united as one on June 8, 2019 at The Venue at 939 Adams in a setting filled with rustic elegance and all of those they love. Cathryn's MG Weddings experience began about 2 weeks out from her wedding day, so we dove head first into the process and ensured her big day would be just as she had always dreamed it would be. I love a good bridal party and from the moment I arrived at Cathryn's rehearsal, I could tell that she had just that. At the start of Cathryn's big day, the bridal suite was buzzing with laughter and wore a fog of hairspray while Cathryn and her best gals got dolled up for the occasion. All the while, vendors were arriving, florals were being placed and dispensed, and the Cellist was practicing his ensemble. I loved the attention to detail that this wedding possessed and the intricate decor assignments that captured guests as they walked in the door. Like the coordination of most weddings, the day flew by as all the magical components of the event filtered in and were made into perfection. Cathryn's venue boasts a grand open space where the guests were seated California-style at their tables, still creating a sweet aisle for the family, wedding party, and Bride to walk down. As the wedding party and family members patted the tears dry on their faces, the love that brought everyone to this spot on that day was felt immaculately as Cathryn and Logan exchanged their vows. With the ceremony and reception taking place in the same space, a task on my end was to orchestrate the ceremony exit of family and wedding party for photography while simultaneously initiating the mingling and eatery time for guests. The MG Weddings Coordination Journal was a huge component in keeping Cathryn's big day running seamlessly as all of her wonderful vendors were able to have a tangible schedule and participate in the management of her events. Cathryn's reception served appetizers and desserts, which were all a huge hit. A reception favorite of mine was the wonderful words from the Best Man and the Couple of Honor who detailed the beautiful love story of Cathryn and Logan and highlighted their wonderful qualities both separately and together. A unique feature for this Bride and Groom's evening was their choice of first dance. In lieu of the tradition, they asked that all of their guests join them on the dance floor, and ... can you say FUN. The DJ kept the momentum alive and the guests were all beaming with smiles as they enjoyed their fun and fellowship together. When the time came, all the guests lined up for the grand exit of the new Mr. and Mrs. and they were sent away with well wishes. A Small Town Intimate Exchange of VowsNatalie Dugger was the first official MG Weddings Bride, and she'll always be so special for that reason and many more. On May 11, 2019 Natalie Dugger and Bo Hubbard exchanged vows with their family and friends before them and a sun-gleamed pond behind them, just before their good luck rain shower commenced. The MG Weddings Experience began for Natalie about 4 weeks out from her big day, so we went right into the coordination planning process. Natalie's wedding was hosted at the beautiful home of Jerry Underwood which boasts three stories making the getting-ready segment of her big day an organized breeze. While Natalie, her girls, and her glam squad worked upstairs, and Bo and the boys shot pool in the basement, I worked on mixing lemonade in the kitchen as well as welcoming and distributing final payments to all her eagerly arriving vendors. One of the most important components of a wedding day is the implementation of photography. When creating Natalie's Coordination Journal, I started with making a list of every photograph she wanted, timing the photographs that would need to be taken, and then creating a schedule for all the subjects who would need to be included as she sought to capture this big day and all of its special moments. From Bridal Party to extended family members, we want to make sure that these shots are planned for and that we're not spending time looking for someone needed for a picture, nor is the Bride stuck in front of a backdrop while every family member asks for a quick photo. The idea with photography coordination through the MG Weddings experience is that it will be evident that the Bride is getting exactly what she wants captured, and everyone who needs a picture will get one -- officially. When every final touch has been made, the guests are seated, and the music begins to play, that's when I hit fast-forward and the Bride should hit hit pause. Your wedding day will go by in the blink of an eye, and Natalie's big day was no exception. Once the ceremony was underway I made sure the cake was setup, the guestbook was moved to the reception area, and the table settings were perfected. All the while, her catering team began setting up the food on the patio, for the outdoor buffet line. The sun shone on Natalie and Bo for their first kiss as husband and wife, but the sky quickly faded and we knew they were in store for a good luck rain. The catering team and I redesigned the basement in a hurry to boast a beautiful buffet still, and we kept it moving with final portraits on the porch before the meal and cake cutting. As the reception got underway with the wedding party introduction and dancing, the love was felt all around as this sweet union was celebrated.
